Deborah Jean Hughes

HOUSTON - Deborah Jean Hughes, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 5, 2012, after a lengthy illness. Deborah was born on January 30, 1958 in Seaford, to the late Mary E. Norman and Manual Meyers. Deborah received her education through the Seaford School District and graduated from James H. Groves Highschool on June 9, 1994. One of her proudest achievements was receiving her Baptismal Certificate at Lighthouse Christian Center in August, 2004. Deborah spent 18 years at James Thompson Inc. in the capacity of shipping department clerk prior to her employment at Kraft Foods where her illness forced her into early retirement. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Jean Serrano; brothers, James Ellis Norman and Rayfield Norman. Deborah leaves to cherish her memories to her loving husband of 21 years, Larry Hughes; daughter, Tyethia Hughes (Damon Mosley); granddaughter, Destiney Hughes; step father, Juan Antonio Reyes; three sisters, Shirley Norman (Joel) of Seaford, Mary E. Norman of Seaford, and Alice Pitts (James) of Seaford; brother, David Norman (Brenda) of Harrington; she also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, sister/brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, May, 13, 2012, at Mt. Carmel SDA Church, 103 Mechanic St, Harrington, DE., with visitation 2 hours prior. Interment will be in Williamsville Cemetery, Williamsville, DE. Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home. DE-Deborah-Hughes.JPG/
