FEDERALSBURG, Md. - Dean E. Woods, 51, died at the home of a friend in Federalsburg on Friday, June 10, 2011. He was born on Dec. 3, 1959, in Orlando, Fla., the son of the late Jack E. Woods and Laura Mae Ross Woods. He was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School, W.Va. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and later attended college level technical training in Delaware for several years. He has worked for twenty-five years as a Production Mechanic at Solo Cup Company in Federalsburg, Md. He loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by two children, Megan E. Woods and Heather M. Woods, both of Dover; and though separated, his wife, Loraine "Lori" (Mann) Woods of Dover; a brother, Bob Woods and his wife Charlotte "Sissy" of Summersville, W.Va.; two nieces, two nephews, one great-niece, one great-nephew, and many close friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Kleinik. Funeral services for him will be 11 a.m., Thursday, June 16, 2011, at the Framptom Funeral Home, 216 North Main Street, Federalsburg with Rev. Dan Gedman officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Inurnment, following cremation, with military honors will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, Md. The family suggests, memorial contributions be made in his memory to American Heart Association, c/o Christy Coale, 216 N. Main St., Federalsburg, MD 21632; or to the American Diabetes Assoc., 114 Baptist St., Salisbury, MD 21801.
