Dawn Lee Price Ash

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Dawn Lee Price Ash, of Chestertown, died on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, a Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 47. Born in Chestertown, she was the daughter of Mary Lee and Wayne Bennett of Chestertown and Lex Pennington Price of Millington. A 1982 graduate of Kent County High School she attended Chesapeake College where she studied bookkeeping. She married Ronald Wayne Ash and they moved to Dover where she worked as a bookkeeper and later as a waitress. She worked with Red Lobster in Dover for over eight years. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Harley, traveling with her husband and collecting Barbie Dolls. She also loved spending time with her niece and nephews. Dawn was loving, kind hearted and giving and will be fondly remembered by all. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Wayne Bennett II and his wife Libby of Chestertown; a niece and nephew, Morgan and R.B. Bennett; a half brother, Lex P. Price Jr.; and three step nephews, Allen, Andrew and Nick Wersten. Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Kennedyville United Methodist Church. Relatives and friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment will be in Chester Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Kent County Humane Society, 10720 Augustine Herman Highway, Chestertown, MD 21620 or the A.F. Whitsett Center, 300 Scheeler Road, Chestertown, MD 21620. Arrangements are by the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, Chestertown, MD. Online condolences may be made to www.fhnfuneralhome.com.
