DOVER - David W. Brown, Jr. passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.
Mr. Brown was born May 14, 1957 in Summit, N.J. to the late David W. Brown, Sr. and Beulah L. Davidson Brown. He graduated from Jonathan Dayton Regional High School in Springfield, N.J., and received his Bachelor of Science, Arts, and Liberal Studies Degree focusing on Interior Design from the University of Delaware.
He was an Interior Designer for Ethan Allen in Pennsylvania, Arch Firm in Cherry Hill, N.J. and Macy's in New York. He then opened his own business "Planned Interior Environments" in Media, Pa. Mr. Brown was an Instructor at Delaware County Community College. For 30 years he was Director of Hospitality at The Media Theatre for the Performing Arts in Media, Pa. He was a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Most recently he was employed at Johnny Janosik, Dover.
Mr. Brown is survived by his sister, Lisa Brown Cutrona and her husband Francis of Dover; niece, Gillian Cutrona Fuller, her husband Joseph and their children Lily, Cameron, and Lincoln of Dover; niece, Paige Cutrona of Jersey City, N.J.; and nephew, Damon Brown Cutrona of Dover.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 South Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be at the Presbyterian Church, Cold Springs, N.J.
