MILFORD - David Robbins Jr. of Milford died Friday, March 16, 2007, in his home. He was 84.
Mr. Robbins was born in Milford, son of the late Oscar David Sr. and Lena (Shockley) Robbins.
He was a farmer and he enjoyed fox hunting.
Mr. Robbins was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church, charter member of Cedar Fields Ruritan Club, a member of National Rifle Association, a 63 year member of the Farm Bureau, former member of the 4-H Club and Director of Soil Conservation, and director of Southern States.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George A. and Willard C. Robbins; and a granddaughter, Emily Unger.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaretta T. (Thompson) Robbins; three children and their spouses, Ronald D. and Norma Jean Robbins, Thomas W. and Barbara Robbins and Faye Robbins Unger, all of Milford; seven grandchildren, Joann Robbins, Arthur David Robbins, Thomas W. Robbins Jr., Leslie Scrivner, Erin Unger, Seth Unger and Matt Unger; five great-grandchildren, Mariah Abrahams, Josh Abrahams, Arthur David Robbins Jr., Tristin Robbins and William Scrivner; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
