MILFORD - Darius Anthony Sarro passed away peacefully in the arms of his mother on Oct. 14, 2017 at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover.
Darry, as he was known to those that knew and loved him, was a graduate of Lake Forest High School in Felton. He was outgoing and entertaining with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing, the beach, music, theater, video games, skate boarding, and playing chess.
Darry's life started with a struggle as he was born with a coarctation of the aorta, a congenital heart defect.
He is survived by his parents; his mother, Kelly Sarro; stepfather, Charles (Chuck) Bednarek; stepmother, Sally Franceschi; half brother, Sean; half sisters, Lauren and Gabriella, stepsister, Danielle Bednarek; and grandparents, Benedict and Regina Sarro. Darry had a special relationship with his Aunt Christina (Chrissy) Sarro, her fiance Donald Krausz; his Uncle Benedict Sarro, Jr., and his wife Deanna of Louisiana; and special friends Thomas Barnard, John and Andrea Longo; his favorite teacher, Patricia O'Day, and many other friends, cousins and extended family.
Services were handled by Torbert Funeral Chapels, Dover. Letters of condolences may be sent and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the "Children's Heart Foundation", PO Box 244, Lincolnshire, IL 60069 or at http://www.childrensheartfoundation.org/donate-now. (847) 634-6474.
In memoriam Darry's family share a poem:
Like a deep sad note
played beneath the ocean
waving through the orb
the memories of you
the bittersweet echoes
infixed forever in my heart.
