Dale Jones, 62

DOVER - Dale Jones of Dover died Thursday, May 17, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 62.

Mr. Jones was born June 13, 1944, in Bridgeville to the late Norvell and Hilda Lee Jones.

He worked as a technician in the heating and air conditioning industry, lastly working for Schagrin Gas Co. in Middletown.

He enjoyed collecting antique tractors and going to tractor shows.

Mr. Jones liked doing woodworking projects and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He especially liked Dale Earnhardt Sr.

He was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time at home with his dogs, Peppy and Sparky.

Mr. Jones also loved being with family and friends especially spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kirby Jones; and a stepson, William J. Casazza.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 27 years, Astrid Jones of Dover; his daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Roger King and their children, Zachary and Joshua of Houston, Del.; three stepdaughters, Mary Ellen Rowley and her children, Mark and Luke of Rising Sun, Claudia and Gary Kirchner and their children, Andrew and Danielle of Dover, Linda and Victor Schimp and their children, Lauren and Alexa of Dover; a stepson, Robert Casazza and his daughter Nikki of Newark; a grandson, Christopher Casazza of Salisbury, Md.; special friends, Irvin King and Joe Gendrich, both of Dover ;and a special cousin, Eddie Jones of Federalsburg, Md.

Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Interment will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
