CHESTERTOWN, Md. - D. Linda Homan, died May 27, 2012, at home. Mrs. Homan was born on Jan. 11, 1940, in Langley Field, Va., daughter of the late David and Ella Rita Neil Spicer. She had lived in Vineland, N.J. for 30 years before moving to Chestertown in 1988. Mrs. Homan continued her education at Washington College, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1996. She had worked at Heron Point and for 15 years at Chester River Hospital as an Administrative Assistant, retiring in 2002. Linda was a member of Eastern Shore Bible Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, bicycling, gardening, painting and the outdoors. Mrs. Homan was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor and great love for life. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Valerie Lynn Crispin in 2006; and a sister, Juanita Scarbrough. Mrs. Homan is survived by her husband and best friend of 51 years, Robert Homan; a daughter, Victoria Luff and her husband Jim of Sarasota, Fla.; and a grandson, PFC Garrett Crispin USMC (active duty; as well as her beloved grand-pets, Kurt and Wellington. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at the Eastern Shore Bible Baptist Church, 13984 Gregg Neck Rd, Galena, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Private burial will be in Galena Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to the Eastern Shore Bible Baptist Church Building Fund, 13984 Gregg Neck Rd., Galena, MD, 21635; the Humane Society of Kent County, 10720 Augustine Herman Hwy, Chestertown, MD, 21620 or the Vasculitis Foundation P.O.
