LINCOLN - Cynthia L. "Cindy" McBroom, 55, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Bayhealth Medical Center in Milford. She was born in Willingboro, N.J., daughter of Willard 'Bill' Noble and the late Harriet Cartwright Noble. Cindy was an active member of Avenue United Methodist Church, where she also attended Tuesday Morning Sisters in Christ Bible Study. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service and the Department of Agriculture. She was eager to help others, working at the Homeless Shelter, Brown Bags, and The Shepherd Place. Cynthia was preceded by her mother and two of her children, Gared Sullenger McBroom and Amanda Lynn McBroom. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 37 years, Rodney McBroom; daughter, Alice C. McBroom; granddaughter, Lillian C. McBroom; four sisters, Kathey Malago (and Joe), and Linda Donovan (and Kevin), Valerie and Veronica; two sister-in-laws, Sandra and Marsha; one brother-in-law, John Wayne; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, Russell, Toni Lynn, Symon and Hannah Noble, Jason, Jena and Chase Malago and Patrick Donovan. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July, 23, 2016 at 12 p.m. at the Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church St., Milford, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to help defray funeral costs be mailed to Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, Delaware 19963.
