FT. PIERCE, Fla. - Cordella "Cory" Vann passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 26, 2022 while visiting her cousins' in California.
Born on October 11, 1948 in Camden, N.J. to Walter Murray and Agnes (Kricken) Murray. The second oldest, a twin and only daughter in the family. She was the last surviving sibling in the family. She graduated from Lenape High school in Medford, N.J. in 1967 and the following month, married George Matlack. From this union two daughters were born. In 1984 she relocated to Ft. Pierce, Fla. and married twice more, the last being Jack Vann who predeceased her. She worked most of her life in various jobs from housekeeping to home health care. She enjoyed crochet, visiting family, online shopping and going out to eat.
In addition to her husband and parents; she was predeceased by all of her brothers, Thomas, Henry (twin brother), Steven, and Charles Murray.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Michelle Matlack Edwards of Cocoa, Fla. and Arlene (Charles) Ford of Kenton, Del.; three beautiful grandchildren, Clinton Matlack, Kristin Ford and Aaron Ford; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
As she wished, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
