Cordelia Ann Mansfield Norman Legates

MILFORD - Cordelia Ann Mansfield Norman Legates died on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at Harrison House, Georgetown. She was born in Greenwood; daughter of the late George Omar Mansfield and Anna E. Fooks Mansfield. She was a supervisor for CHIMES at Dover Air Force Base prior to retirement. Cordelia attended the Church of the Brethren in Farmington for 26 years. She enjoyed the Baltimore Orioles, NASCAR, and reading. She especially enjoyed reading to her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by her husband, Norman Legates; five sons, James Jr., Samuel, Mark, Travis and Richard Norman; and a sister, Mary Ann Kelly; also, numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Larry Legates and his wife Maggie. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, Jan. 7, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, where friends may call after 2:00 p.m. for a viewing. Interment will be Hollywood Cemetery and private.
