Cora A. Hickman, 97

HARBESON - Cora A. Hickman of Harbeson passed away peacefully Sunday, June 10, 2007, in her home. She was 97.

Cora had a great love for her family and animals.

She was very generous and always was young at heart.

In her earlier years, Cora loved playing with her grandkids, traveling and going to yard sales.

She was a member of the Daughters of Order, United American Men and Delaware Council.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah Mitchell; her husband, William "Bill" Hickman; two children, Harry G. Hickman and Josephine Hickman; one grandson, Harry W. Hickman; and 10 of her siblings.

Cora is survived by two grandsons, whom she and Bill raised, Gary and Barry Hickman, both of Harbeson; four great-grandchildren, Lance and Kelsey Hickman of Harbeson, and Cassidy and Seth Hickman of Crestview, Fla.; one nephew, Lloyd Rust; a sister-in-law, Virginia Rust, who lovingly helped care for her.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Harbeson Cemetery.

Arrangements by Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro.
