Livingston, Jr., 86 MILFORD - Conrad B. "Con" "UNC" Livingston, Jr. passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was born on Jan. 8, 1926 in Fruitland, Md., the son of the late Conrad B., Sr. and Dorothy (Smith) Livingston. He was a graduate of Wicomico High School in Salisbury, Md. and Goldey Business College in Wilmington. He was a petty officer and radioman 3/C in the U.S. Navy during WWII, serving on the USS, SC1310, USS Rodman and the DMS 21. He was a member of the Avenue U.M. Church, V.F.W., and the 501 Club. He was an avid reader, interested in naval history, and a fan of NASCAR, the Orioles, the Ravens and the Shorebirds. He worked in the trucking industry for 40 years, as terminal manager for Victor Lynn Lines, Preston Trucking, Burris Food Distributors and retired in 1991 as general manager of TRP, Inc., coordinating hauling under contract for Acme Markets serving the Eastern Shore of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. After retirement, he worked at D&J Recycling. He is survived by his wife, S. Jean (Messick) Livingston; two daughters and son-in-laws, Luanne and L.T. Holland of Ellendale, Barbie and Park McDaniel of Lewes; sister, Jean Dykes of Salisbury, Md.; sister-in-law and her husband, Mae and Pat Madonna of Palmetto, Fla.; grandchildren, Kevin Flaherty and wife Catherine, Kelly Riley and husband, Mike, Brittany Sheldon and her finance' Bruce Benton; step grandchildren, Cheryl Keffer and husband Jamie and Bradley McDaniel; great grandchildren, Jordan Flaherty, Christina Flaherty, Emma Riley, Declan Riley, Drake Benton; one step great grandson, Henry Park Keffer; four nephews; one niece; and the boys of the 501 Club. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Burial will be private.
