Connie had worked as a cashier at Walmart and had done housekeeping at several local hotels. She retired several years ago due to her health. She enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Jr., and Mary Edna (Barney) Hignutt; her life partner of 22 years, George Biddle; a grandson, Alan M. Walls; a great-granddaughter, Reality Jenkins; and two sisters, Linda Belanga and Diane Irwin. Connie is survived by three children, Michael Hignutt of Milford, Nelson Tull Jr. and wife Shanie of Dover, and Tracy Tull of Camden; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Janet Hignutt Smith of Georgetown. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Homes, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, with a time of visitation from 5 to 6 p.m. Burial will be held privately.
