Clark Patton 'Pat' Gillespie CAMDEN-WYOMING - Clark Patton "Pat" Gillespie, 66, Brookdale Road, Camden/Wyoming, passed away peacefully Tuesday May 18, 2010 at Delaware Hospice Center Milford. He was born on April 13, 1944 in Los Angeles, Calif., to the late Stuart and Layle Church Gillespie. He proudly served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force from 1966-1981, completing two tours in Vietnam. He then worked as a flight instructor for Flight Safety International, Wilmington, Del. until his passing. He is preceded in death by his sister, Dee Gillespie of Ariz. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of KGH ICU and Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Marie Gillespie of Camden; daughters, Terri Egger of Charleston, S.C., Kelly Gillespie of Spring Hill, Fla., DeAnne Buswell and her husband Kevin of Lake Ridge, Va.; son and his wife, Adam and Rebecca Gillespie of Magnolia; brother, William Gillespie, of Calif.; sister, Julie Collins, of Texas; sister, Kate Holmes of, N.M.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Remembrance Services will be held Sat. May 22, 2010, 12 Noon at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, Del. A private burial will follow the service for the family. Friends may also call Sat. from 10:30 a.m. till time of the service at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover. The family request that memorial contributions be given to Delaware Hospice Center 100 Patriots Way Milford, DE 19963 and/or Barrett's Chapel & Museum 6362 Bay Road Frederica, DE 19946 Letters of condolences may be sent to www.delmarvaobits.com or traderfh@aol.com
