MIDDLETOWN - Clara Blanche Baynard, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008. She was 84. She was born May 18, 1924. She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was most recently a resident of Broadmeadow Nursing Home, where she was affectionately known as "Mom". She was a very devoted mother and was tireless in her love. She was humble, quiet, very serene and a peace loving woman. She will surely be missed. Mrs. Baynard was preceded in death by her husband of many years, John Baynard. She is survived by her sister, Reba Fullman, of Dover; one daughter, Pearl Baynard, of California; three sons, Ronald Summers, of California, John Baynard and Eugene Baynard, both of Delaware; and grandchildren, Eraina Caldwell, Ebony Baynard, and Chappie Washington, all of Delaware, and Dakota Baynard and Miles Baynard, of California. Mrs. Baynard also leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008 at the Zion A.M.E. Church, Center Street, Camden. Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery, Woodside.
