Clara Bell Budd, 86
SMYRNA - Clara Bell Budd of Smyrna died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, in Broadmeadow Nursing Home, Middletown. She was 86.
She was born April 20, 1920, in Townsend, daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Shahan) Deisem.
Mrs. Budd worked on the line for Playtex Apparel in Dover for 23 years before retiring due to disability.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Shirley Wild, Dorris Tribbit and Bonnie Allen; three brothers, Charles Deisem, Howard Deisem and John Deisem; and a sister, Lena Reed.
She is survived by her husband, Francis Budd; a daughter, Laura "Pat" Rouse of Wyoming; a brother, Jim Diesem; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle Camden, DE 19934.
