SMRYNA - Claire W. Schanberger of Smyrna died on Saturday, March 10, 2007, in King of Prussia, Pa. She was 86.
She was born Dec. 3, 1920, in Baltimore, the daughter of the late Edward and Grace Horner Weis.
She loved a good game of bridge, had mastered the ancient game of Mah Jong and loved doing needlepoint. Her flower gardens were a source of joy and relaxation.
Mrs. Schanberger was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Smyrna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Schanberger; and a son, Robert P. Schanberger.
She is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Suzanne C. and John Pruski; a daughter-in-law, Carol Schanberger; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Peace Lutheran Church, 5048 Wheatleys Pond Road, Smyrna.
Interment will be privately held in Druid Ridge Cemetery, Pikesville, Md.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Heartland Hospice, 4070 Butler Pike, Suite 100, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
Arrangements are by Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Smyrna.
