DOVER, DE - Christine Miriam Phillips passed away at her home on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024. "Teeny" was born February, 18,1934 in Barclay, MD the daughter of the late Rembert and Anna Pearl Phillips. She was a 1952 graduate of Sudlersville High School. After graduation she went straight to work for Playtex in the accounting department where she had over 40 years before retirement. Christine was a past member of Marvin Memorial Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling on a league in her younger years and loved going to the beach up until she couldn't travel anymore. She also enjoyed shopping for antiques and collecting snow babies. Family was most important to her and she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Wise and Louise Phillips; two brothers, William Phillips and Jesse Phillips; two nephews, Phillip Wise and Nick Phillips; and sisters in law, Irene Snow and Sarah Phillips.
She is survived by one sister, Ruth Hadaway of Chestertown, MD; three nieces, Sandra McClary of Chestertown, MD, Mary Lynn Hollan of Arnold, MD, Nina Phillips of Wilmington, DE; two nephews, Jay Hadaway of Chestertown, MD, and Bill Phillips of Maine; five great nieces, Lori McClary of Selbyville, Shelly McClary – Reid of Salisbury, MD, Eddie Cinotti of Annapolis, MD, Natasha Miller of Wilmington, DE, Jamie Hadaway of Relay, MD; and one great nephew, Jayson Haddaway of Chestertown, MD.
A visitation will be held on Wed., Jan. 31, 2024 from 1pm to 2pm at Fellows Family Funeral Home, 370 Cypress St., Millington, MD. Interment will follow in Sudlersville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be sent to the charity of your choice.
