Christine Balsley "Crickett" Martin, 79
MADISON HEIGHTS, Va. - Christine Balsley "Crickett" Martin of Madison Heights died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, in The Summitt in Lynchburg. She was 79.
Mrs. Martin was born Jan. 2, 1928, in Richmond, daughter of the late William Houston and Daisy Aliff Balsley.
She was a retired cafeteria manager with the Amherst County Public School System and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She was the wife of the late Willard T. Martin.
Mrs. Martin is survived by three sons, Warren Campbell and his wife, Sharon of Westminster, Md., Jack Campbell and his wife, Martha of Lynchburg, and Mike Campbell and Miss Doc Winston of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; two daughters, Andrea Romaker and her husband, Roger Warrenton, Mo. and Julie Patton and her husband, Ted of Forest; a brother, Robert Balsley and his wife, Vivian of Richmond; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Whitten Monelison Chapel, Madison Heights, by the Rev. John Pickette.
Burial will follow in Briarwood Memorial Gardens, Amherst.
Following the burial, Grace Baptist Church invites family and friends to the church for a time of fellowship.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association.
