DOVER - Charlotte Hammond Glanden Burke died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at Country Rest Home, Greenwood. Charlotte was born in Frederica, daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Morris) Hammond. She worked as an assistant manager for the Delaware Trust Co. of Frederica. Charlotte enjoyed volunteering with the Junior Board Kent General Hospital, Dover, Singles of the MMC, 47Dover, Womans Circle bnof Wesley United Methodist Church, Dover, Twig and Sprig Club and Newcomers Club of Dover. Other interests included sewing and traveling. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Lewis Glanden and Gene Burke; son, Delbert Glanden; brother, Frances Hammond; and step-daughter, Dee Crane. Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Beverly Coverdale and her husband Albert "Bud" of Milford; grandchildren, Amanda (Bryan) Wright of Milford, Carrie Coverdale of Milford, Mark Glanden (Annie) of Wilmington and Matt (Amy) Glanden; great- grandchildren, Amaya, Dylan, Hannah; brother, Oliver Hammond of Milford; daughter-in-law, Shirley Glanden of Frederica; step-son, David (Cindy) Burke of Dover, five step- grandchildren; and two step-great- granddaughters. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where family will receive friends one hour earlier.
