Charlotte Elizabeth Desaulniers

Charlotte Elizabeth Desaulniers, nee Caldwell, was received by her Lord on March 1st, peacefully following a brief illness. She was 86 years old.
She and her loving husband of 39 years, The Reverend John. J. Desaulniers, Sr., lived in Milford, Delaware, for the past 18 years, during which he was most recently the Pastor of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Camden. They previously resided in Rixeyville, Virginia, where he was Pastor of Little Fork Episcopal Church, as well is in Northern Virginia. She was a dedicated partner in their shared ministry, embracing their church family and serving the community in innumerable capacities, consistent with her deep faith and caring.
Charlotte was born in Dayton, Ohio, to Charles H. Caldwell (General, USAF) and Erma V. B. Caldwell. She lived throughout the United States and in Central and South America, as well as the Philippines.
She is survived by her husband; sister, Jane Strickland; children, Kenneth Murphy (Debi), Kathleen Murphy, Kerry Murphy (Marianne), Martha Apuan (Charles), and Michael Murphy (Nancy); step-children, Patricia Willard (John), Elizabeth Storm, and John Desaulniers, Jr. (Diane); twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren; as well as her beloved cat, Little One.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 21st, at 10:30 in the morning at St. Paul's Episcopal Church , 210 Old North Road, Camden, DE, 19934. A light luncheon will follow the service. Donations may be made to VITAS Hospice Care, 30265 Commerce Drive, Suite #202, Millsboro, DE 19713 or St. Paul's Church Education Program.
"Rest eternal grant to her, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon her. May the soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace."
