Charles 'Earl' Tribbett, 66

INGLESIDE, Md. - Charles "Earl" Tribbett, of Ingleside, died Friday, May 2, 2008, at his home. He was 66.

Mr. Tribbett was born June 4, 1941, in Ingleside, son of the late Harvey Franklin and Bessie Hester Hughes Tribbitt.

In addition to his wife of 46 years, Alice Marie Conley Tribbett, he is survived by two daughters, Linda Tribbett Cronshaw and Deborah Tribbett Williams; five grandchildren, Jacob Charles Williams, Joshua Earl Cronshaw, Joseph Price Cronshaw, Megan Marie Williams and Jason Samuel Cronshaw, all of Ingleside; a step-grandson, Chad Price Cronshaw; his brother, Howard Franklin Tribbett of Denton; and a sister, Ruth Anna Tribbett Cowgill of Delmar.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Elaine Tribbett.

Mr. Tribbett, a lifetime resident of the area, was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Ingleside for more than 47 years. Earl served on several church committees throughout those years.

Next to his wife, Earl's first love was farming. He loved working the farm where they lived, raising Angus beef cattle.

He was a carpenter by trade and took pride in his work.

Earl had two favorite hobbies. He bowled in the Queen Anne's County Bowling League for 40 years. He also enjoyed pitching horseshoes as a member of the Horseshoe Pitching Association.

Earl Tribbett was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Family was very important to him and his life reflected just that.

Services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Ingleside.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Earl Tribbett may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 103 N. Church St., Sudlersville, MD 21668.
