Charles Russell Latchum, 59

FELTON - Charles Russell Latchum of Felton died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 59.

He was born May 1, 1948, in Wilmington, son of the late Rosewell and Edna (Bristow) Latchum.

Charles had worked as a mechanic.

He enjoyed motorcycle rides with his wife, being with friends and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

His hobbies included hunting and fishing, and he was an avid NASCAR fan.

Charles is survived by his wife of nine years, Carolyn Latchum; five children, Charles R. Latchum Jr. of Willow Grove, Daniel H. Latchum of Willow Grove, Barbi A. Latchum of Magnolia, Jeff Foraker of Dover and Tina Burton of Clayton; three sisters, Glorenna Jaworski of Casper, Wyo., Marsha Latchum of Wilmington and Colleen English of New Castle; two half sisters, Leontine Wingle of New Castle and Dorothy Oberly of New Castle; a half brother, John Latchum of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Abagail Zaun, Elaine Latchum, Danielle Foraker, Peter and Gabriella Berrios and Candice and Cory Burton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and an extended family of friends.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call two hours earlier.

Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown.

Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
