GREENWOOD - Charles Price of Greenwood died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, in Green Valley Nursing Facility, Millsboro, where he had been a resident for a little over a month. He was 81.
Mr. Price was born in Dayton, Ky.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-46, aboard the USS Cleveland in the South Pacific.
After his military career, he worked in the Harrington area as a horse trainer, truck driver and tailor.
Mr. Price was a member of the American Legion CKRT Post 7, Harrington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mabel Price; and two brothers, David Price and Phillip Price.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara Price; two stepsons, Joseph Pizzi of South Carolina and Richard Pizzi of New Jersey; a sister, Charlene Beene of Harrington; a nephew and his wife, Burton and Mary Vincent of Harrington; two great-nephews, Charles Vincent and Peter Vincent; and a great-niece and her husband, Christina and Matt Salmon.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, with burial following.
