Charles Paul 'Charlie' Nordberg, 57 LINCOLN - Charles Paul "Charlie" Nordberg Jr., of Lincoln, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, surrounded by his family at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, after a battle with heart disease. He was 57. Mr. Nordberg was born and grew up in Federalsburg, Md., to the late Charles P. Nordberg Sr. and June Nordberg. He worked for Manlove/Fisher/ Wharton & Barnard Auto Parts for the past 25 years. He had worked in the Auto parts/repair industry for a total of 30 years. He graduated from Colonel Richardson High School in Federalsburg, and then attended college for Auto Repair in Baltimore. Mr. Nordberg was a simple man who loved people and never met a stranger. He was always willing to help a person in need; although he did enjoy playing his fair share of light hearted jokes on any waiting and willing person. This was a trait that his family and friends would expect and love about him. In his spare time he enjoyed going camping this even included taking all five of his children to the Sky Line Drive Mountains even during the winter months. Mr. Nordberg also enjoyed spending time taking his family and grandkids horseback riding. His greatest joy and gift in life was spending time with his family and his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his mother, June Wright Nordberg; his father, Charles Nordberg Sr.; and a beloved son, Ryan Nordberg. Those left to cherish all his fond memories are his wife, Marie Nordberg of Lincoln; two sons, David Vogl and his wife Kristi and her son Ben of Harrington, and Charles S. Nordberg his wife Anna and their sons Dalton and Gage of Milford; two daughters, Christy Schrider and her husband John and their daughter Dayna of Fort Myers, Fla., and Wendy Kincade her husband Jonah their daughters, Savannah and Kloey of Milford; a daughter-in-law, Trish Nordberg and her children Carry Ray, Clay, Ryan, Amanda, Ally and George Nordberg; four grown grandkids that he was very proud of being a part of their childhood, Carol Vogl of Houston, Texas, Davie Vogl of Colorado, Whitney Loftus of Lincoln, and Brandon Manlove of Ocean View; and a host of many co-workers and friends. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be held in Conleys United Methodist Church, Lewes.
