DOVER - Charles M. Hamilton, Jr. of Dover passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at Westminster Village. He was 85. Mr. Hamilton was born Aug. 5, 1930 to the late Charles M. Hamilton, Sr. and Hazel Porter Hamilton. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Hamilton worked as a Chemical Engineer for BP/Amoco, retiring in 1990, after 40 years. After his retirement he and his late wife Lillian worked as EMT's for a volunteer EMS squad in Sun City Center, Florida. He enjoyed his extensive model train collection, and was a member of several clubs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lillian Cooper Hamilton, 2012. He is survived by daughter, Patricia McIntyre; sons, Bruce and Robert Hamilton; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Service will be held 11 a.m.,Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015 at Gracelawn Cemetery Chapel, 2220 N. Dupont Highway, New Castle, DE 19720. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will follow.
