SMYRNA - Charles L. Hopkins passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at the age of 84. Charles had been a faithful witness of Jehovah God for 60 years, most recently associated with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Smyrna. The family wishes to acknowledge Bayhealth Kent General ER, 3rd and 4th floor staff and Season's Hospice for their professional and most compassionate care during Charles' final days. He is survived by his wife, Laura, to whom he was married for 66 years; and his daughters, Paulette and Beverly and their spouses; eight grandchildren, Eric, Jennifer, Juliette, Ben, Jeffrey, Joanna, Janet and Brett and their spouses; and numerous great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday Dec. 2, 2013 in the Faries Funeral Home, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, DE. It is suggested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Smyrna, Elm and North Streets, Smyrna, DE 19977.
