OAK ORCHARD - Charles H. Moore of Oak Orchard died peacefully Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 88.
Mr. Moore was born in Millsboro, son of the late Charlie and Mary (Johnson) Moore.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the South Pacific with the U.S. Army.
He was an assembly line worker for General Motors at their Boxwood plant, retiring in 1978.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Beatrice (Niblett) Moore; a son and a daughter-in-law, Charles H. Jr. and Susan Moore of Millsboro; three brothers, Joseph Moore, Irvin Moore and Raymond Moore, all of Millsboro; three sisters, Eliza White and Shirley Fritz, both of Millsboro and Mary Boyce of Laurel.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends may call after 1 p.m. The Rev. J. Allen Miller will officiate.
Burial will be in Millsboro Cemetery.
