Charles Albert Glenn

HOCKESSIN - Charles Albert Glenn, of Hockessin and Kennedyville, Md. died Jan. 14, 2018 at home in Delaware.
Charles was born on Aug. 5, 1934 in Still Pond, Md., son of the late Edward Elwood Glenn and Margaret Araminta Myers. He was a 1952 graduate of Chestertown High School and also attended Washington College. A U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1957 to 1962, during Germany's Berlin Wall Crisis. CW4 Glenn was a member of Delaware National Guard, 1st Regiment of DE Continentals and American Legion Post 29, Elsmere for over 30 years. Charles was a certified aircraft mechanic in fixed wing and 'Huey" Helicopters, retiring in 1994 as an Avionics Supervisor.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, L. Earle Glenn and Vernon W. Glenn.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Anna P. Glenn; two sons, Mark Glenn of Florida and Christopher Glenn (Wendy) of Delaware; two grandsons, Tyler and Josh; stepdaughter, Nicole Peirce (Mark); nephews, Tony, Joseph and Vernon; and a niece, Frances Nagy.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 2464 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE 19701
