CAMDEN - Charles A. Heinig, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 30, 1926 in Central Nyack, N.Y., son of the late Charles and Margaret (Kennedy) Heinig. Charles worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Beltsville, Md., from 1968 to 1988. He served his country proudly in the U.S Navy from 1943 to 1966. Charles enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, reading and playing baseball. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Fleet Reserve. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Jane Heinig; five children, Linda O'Brien and her husband, Eugene of Laurel, Md., Cheryl Leppi and her husband, Greg of Naples, Fla., Colleen Trolinger and her husband, Ben of Columbia, Md., Timothy Murray and his wife, Bridget of Laurel, Md., and Jane Snyder of Laurel, Md.; two sisters, Eleanor Dailey of N.Y., and Alice Huffman of S.C.; 11 grandchildren, Tammy Mitchell, Dawn Helmke, Patrick O'Brien, Katie O'Brien, James Leppi, Allison Leppi, Tim Trolinger, Matt Trolinger, Dylan Murray, Brenna Murray and Jake Johnston; 11 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
