SMYRNA - Caytlin E. Montgomery lost her long battle with addiction on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017.
She was born on Feb. 3, 1985 in Seaford, the daughter of Robert and Gail Montgomery of Smyrna.
Caytie loved animals and had many in her life. Her one true passion was horseback riding and her favorite mount was her pony, The Red Rodent.
She loved music, especially Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and The Beatles.
Caytie was interested in history and always asked questions about world events, past and present.
She loved watching scary movies and TV crime shows.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Diana Monge and brother-in-law, Michael Monge of Newark; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 8 p.m.
Burial will be privately held on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017 at Glenwood Cemetery in Smyrna.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Paws for People, 703 Dawson Drive, Newark, DE 19713 or to GRASP, DE Chapter, C/O Faith Lutheran Church, 2265 Red Lion Rd. Bear, DE 19701.
