HARRINGTON - Catherine L. Shockley-Robb, of Harrington, died on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009. She was 92. She was born in Concord, Md., to the late William and Ola Vickery Eaton. Mrs. Robb was a homemaker. During her first marriage, she could be found working alongside her husband on the farm. She enjoyed cooking, needlework, and travelling. She will be remembered by her spunky personality and her friendly and outgoing nature. She also had a great matter of fact sense of humor. Her family will especially remember her as a generous provider who gave the opportunity and support they needed in order to pursue whatever they wanted to do. Mrs. Robb was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church of Harrington. When her health allowed her to be active years ago, she was involved with Sunday School and various card clubs. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Shockley; second husband, Clifton Elliott; sisters, Florence Scott, Mary Jane Kibler, and Edith Marshall. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, T. Dukes Robb of Harrington; daughters, Sandra Parrott of Easton, Md., Dorothy Schaffer of Lewes, Virginia Schulties of Harrington, and Emily Wooters of Greensboro, Md.; sister, Doris Towers of Federalsburg, Md.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, where a visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
