SEAFORD - Catherine B. Long of Seaford died peacefully Saturday, March 24, 2007, in her home, with her husband and son.
Mrs. Long was born in Wilmington, daughter of the late Merrill and Helen Powell Bottger.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Wilmington. Before becoming a mother and homemaker, she worked various jobs.
Mrs. Long loved to do craftwork and embroidery. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Bottger; and a sister, Barbara Banack.
She is survived by her husband, James Francis Long Jr.; and a son, James "Jimmy" Francis Long III of Seaford.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. April 5 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 532 E. Stein Highway, Seaford. Father Joseph T. Hurley, CSSR will officiate.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
