Catherine Alveretta 'Alvie' Dill, 88
HARRINGTON - Catherine Alveretta "Alvie" Dill of Harrington died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, in her home. She was 88.
She was born June 3, 1918, in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Anthony B and Fannie May (Everman) Feyl.
Mrs. Dill, a lifetime resident of the area, was a homemaker. She was an honorary member of the Cedar Grove Wesleyan Church, Whiteleysburg. She enjoyed antique cars and was a 30-year member of the Historical Vintage Car Club of Delaware.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Lawrence Dill, on Feb. 1, 1984; a brother, Sam B. Feyl; and a foster brother, Robert Edwards.
She is survived by two sons, Lawrence Richard Dill and his wife Shirley and Norman E. Dill, both of Harrington; a sister, May F. White of Hartly; a stepdaughter, Pearl Penuel of Delmar; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
A visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, Md.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Greensboro Cemetery.
