Carson James Leone
Carson James Leone was born on May 20, 1991, in Dover, Delaware, the son of Mary Ann Connell and the late James "Jimmy" Leone.
He spent the majority of his schooling at Caesar Rodney, but in his bad boy nature he never finished high school. However, he was so proud to earn his GED in 2009. He was a man of many trades-working mainly as a car mechanic/auto technician throughout his twenties. This past winter he shifted careers and landed an amazing job at Cintas, delivering uniforms and office supplies throughout Delaware and the Salisbury area. Carson was the youngest sibling and was often at the mercy of his two older sisters Sydney and Madison and their field hockey schedules. He would say he was "drug along" to everything, but the truth is he loved supporting his sisters on the sidelines. That turned into his innate desire to play the sport as an adult, playing co-ed tournaments and leagues with the infamous DreamTeam. His patriotism, aka his American Flag shorts and cleats, could always be spotted from a mile away. Field hockey and the love of our great nation ultimately brought him and his wife Amanda together, and they welcomed a perfect All-American baby girl, Liliana Mae Leone, on July 5, 2018. Coincidence that Amanda's water broke while watching the fireworks on July 4th? I think not. Carson loved his family and friends dearly, and there was no such thing as a stranger to him. He always prided himself on helping others and just saying "yes". He was a skilled and innovative man, and what he didn't know how to do he was determined to learn and/or teach himself how to get it done. From building chicken coops, to making pickles, to pressure washing, the diversity of his hobbies was truly admirable. He also had a huge passion for cooking, getting that trait honest from his father's Italian family and his mother's career as a chef. Carson was taken from us far too soon, but he has joined quite the gang of angels in heaven including his father, his hero, Jimmy Leone, his paternal grandparents, Salvatore and Lucia Leone, his maternal grandparents, Pete and Sue Wyszynski, and his baby boy who got his wings on February 10, 2020.
He is survived by his loving wife, Amanda, they were just married on October 24, 2020, in Las Vegas. His precious daughter, Liliana, who was the light of his life. He was destined to be her Daddy, for she was his "baby" and they were two peas in a pod. His eldest sister Sydney Leone (Chase Webb) and her three children, Brynner, Silas, and Lyla Corrice. He was the best Uncle in the world to them. His sister Madison Cubbage-Leone (Bethany) and their daughter Blayke. His mother, Mary Ann and stepfather, Kevin Connell. As well as a multitude of extended family and friends-his "brothers", y'all know who you are-and two very special men whom he always looked up to, Bob Hudson and Keith Mumford.
His family would like to extend their greatest gratitude for the entire Neurological Team and Gift of Life Staff at UPenn Hospital in Philadelphia, and Dr. Goyal of Bayhealth in Dover. They made his final moments in the ICU comforting and peaceful and made it a possibility for Carson's legacy to live on by saving the lives of organ donor recipients.
A public Celebration of Life for Carson will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Evergreen Farms, 2826 Seven Hickories Rd., Dover, DE 19904 from 4-6:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to a college fund for his daughter, Liliana.
