Bridgeville - Carroll "Punky" Chism passed away in his home on Feb. 17th, 2015. He was 59. Punky was born Dec. 31st, 1955, to Lloyd Orville Chism and Velma Mary West in Milford. Punky was a dedicated husband, father, and friend. His children were always his main priority in life. He loved each very much, and was extremely proud of all of them. He was sure to share his love of racing with all of his family and friends, and was an accomplished mechanic. In addition to his dedication to family, he was devout to his work. He faithfully worked for O.A. Newton & Sons for 35 years. Following his skillfullness in welding, he worked for Walls Irrigation for 4 years. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Chism; three brothers, Donnie West, LLoyd "Butch" Chism, and David "Fuzzy" Chism; two Sisters, Tisha Rockwell and Sharon Hunter; three daughters, Nikki Dutton, Lacey Chism, and Carrie Chism; two sons, Derek Bowman and wife, Bonnie Bowman, and Ryan Chism; four grandchildren, Shawn Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Jordan Dutton and Rinoa Bowman. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at the Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 West Market ST, Greenwood, where friends may call 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Burial service will be private for family. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations given to the funeral home.
