DOVER - Carol Sue Clough, daughter of Margaret (Gourley) Clough and the late Watson A. Clough of Dover passed away in the loving arms of her family on Wednesday, Apr. 12, 2017 at Christiana Hospital after a brief illness. Susie was born Jun. 29, 1956.
Susie attended John S. Charlton School until the age of 21. Susie loved country music especially Alan Jackson, being her favorite. She also enjoyed watching wrestling with her niece, Ashley N. Clough. She loved to take rides with her dad in the countryside looking for deer and other wild life. Susie's favorite place to go in the summer was Trail's End in Chincoteague, VA and especially riding around in the golf cart around the campground.
Susie also enjoyed going to the monthly Arc dances, her favorite restaurant to eat was Red Lobster, and she never turned down a trip to McDonalds.
Susie is survived by her mother, Margaret Clough; brother, Garry W. Clough (Karen); sister, Mary Jo Clough; and niece, Ashley N. Clough all of Dover. She is also survived by two nephews, Zachary Clough (Colleen), Jacob Clough (Stefani); a niece, Emily Clough (Chris); and one great-niece, Paisley M. DeMoss, all of Sudlersville, Md.; and one very favorite Aunt Shirley Burd! Susie's sweet smile, her good humor and loving ways will surely be missed. Susie we loved you more than words can express.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, Apr. 25th at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd. Visitation hours will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday evening and an hour prior to services on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Kent County ASPCA. 32 Shelter Circle, Wyoming, DE 19934 in Susie's honor.
Letters of condolence and guest book can be signed at torbertfuneral.com
