Carol Hale Reid-Grandfield

FELTON - Carol Hale Reid-Grandfield passed away on Sept. 15, 2017.
Raised in Massachusetts, Carol attended Natick High School and the University of Massachusetts. She married and traveled the world as an Air Force wife and a teacher. Residing in Delaware since 1976, Carol taught school in the Caesar Rodney and Lake Forest School Districts before beginning a career as an insurance agent. Carol retired in 1997 and enjoyed traveling and connecting with old friends and family. She was active in the Sierra Club and the League of Women Voters.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ronald Hennigar of Indiana; and her 2nd husband, Raymond Grandfield of Felton. She is survived by her brothers, Howard Hennigar of Maine and Dale Hennigar of Ghana, Africa; her 1st husband, Howard Reid; children, Kristin and Douglas Reid; and grandchildren, Ryan and Katie Reid of Colorado.
A gathering to remember Carol will be held at McGlynn's Pub, 800 N. State St. in Dover on Wednesday, Oct 11, 2017 from 5 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Carol's memory to the Women's Cancer Research Foundation. http://womenscancerfoundation.com/index.php
