Carol Anne Coe Schaefer BETHANY BEACH - Carol Anne Coe Schaefer, born July 17th, 1937 turned away from this world to walk with the Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010. Carol was born in Maplewood, N.J., and grew up and raised her own family in the Packanack Lake area of Wayne, N.J. In 1985 she and her husband bought, the Mooring, a Bed and Breakfast in Cape May, N.J., which they ran proudly for 9 years. They retired to South Bethany Beach, where she dutifully and lovingly cared for her husband when he became disabled. She enjoyed a vigorous political debate, gardening, her birds and her dogs, and her three grandchildren, Kendra (20), Shane (20), and Dana (11). She even loved to communicate with her friends and family on facebook, sharing stories of her life and pearls of wisdom. In addition to her grandchildren, Carol is survived by her husband of 50 years, Harry Schaefer, her son Eric Schaefer and her daughter, Lisa Schultheis. She is also survived by her brother Robert Coe. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 30th at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services on West Avenue in Ocean View, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
