VINELAND, N.J. - Carol Ann Shields, 57, of Vineland, died Friday morning Sep. 18, 2009, at South Jersey Health Care Inpatient Hospice Unit at Bridgeton Hospital after a brief illness. She was born July 14, 1952, in Dover. She was predeceased by her mother, Gladys Sutton Ploucher and her father William A. Shields, Jr. Carol was formerly of Millville and resided at Maurice River Group Home in Vineland. She was a member of First Assembly of God church in Millville. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Sheilds Hull and her spouse Chris, and niece Chelsea Hull, all of Toledo, Ore. She is survived by Aunt Virginia Shields Simmons of Dover, Del., Aunt Jean Shields Milholen of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Uncle Walter Shields and spouse Sally of Weston, Fla. In addition Carol is survived by cousins, Mary Hurley Kirmura and spouse, Con. of Brigantine, N.J., Sandy Montemarano and spouse Dan of Dover, Del., Donna Hurley Geisinger and spouse Tony of Delmont, Teresa Fischer and spouse Richard and Thomas Williamson, Jr. and spouse Denise all of Millville, N.J. Funeral services will be held at Hoffman Funeral Homes, 643 Main St., Leesburg, today at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Leesburg Cemetery. Viewing will be held today from noon to 1 p.m.
