VIOLA - Carlos R. Williams, of Viola, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011. He was 48. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Newell and Ruby Williams of Ellendale. He enjoyed spending time with his sons and being self-employed as a long distance truck driver for over 25 years. He is survived by his sons, Carlos T. Snipes of Seaford, Andre C. Snipes of Georgetown, Dorell L. Little of Dover, and Antonio T. Williams of Harrington; five brothers, Glenn Williams of Dover, Denny Lee Williams of Bricktown, N.J., Weldell Williams of Atlanta, Ga., Alvin Williams of Salisbury, Md., and Andre Mullen of Ellendale; two sisters, Cynthia Miller of Dover, Ruby Wright of Bridgeville; eight grandchildren, three daughters-in-law of Seaford, Dover and Harrington, two sisters-in-law of Dover and Bricktown, N.J., two brothers-in-law of Dover and Bridgeville, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Viewing will be on Dec. 8, 2011, at 5 to 7 p.m., at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division Street, Dover. Another viewing will be Dec. 9, 2011, from 11 a.m. to noon at Emmanuel AME Church, 1755 Lockwood Chapel Road, Hartly, with services beginning noon. Interment will be at Emmanuel AME Church Cemetery.
