Carla Carpenter Matthews, 71 MIDDLETOWN - Carla Carpenter Matthews passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Middletown on Monday, Aug. 4, 2008. She was 71. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberley VanSant Cook; her close friend and son-in-law, Scott Cook; her grandchildren, Christopher McGreevy, Patrisha McGreevy, and Cody McGreevy, all of Middletown. A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. today in Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N Broad St., Middletown. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Old Drawyers Presbyterian Church, 2839 Dupont Parkway, Middletown. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to The American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
