GREENSBORO, Md. - C. Wayne Bunting Jr. of Greensboro, formerly of Milford, Del., and Choteau, Mont., died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, in the Memorial Hospital of Easton. He was 60.
Mr. Bunting was born in Milford on May 15, 1947, son of the late Chester Wayne Sr. and Hattie (Lewis) Bunting.
He graduated from Milford High School in 1965, and was a graduate of Delaware Technical and Community College with an associate"s degree.
Mr. Bunting enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves and was stationed in Seaford, Del., for six years.
He worked as a dispatcher for Allen"s Foods in Cordova for four years, then went to work at Hertrich Ford in Denton as a car salesman for the last year.
Mr. Bunting also owned and operated his own landscaping business known as Advanced Lawncare.
He was a fun person to be around and loved to shoot the bull.
Mr. Bunting enjoyed telling a good story and was quick with a joke.
He enjoyed fishing, crabbing and boating.
Mr. Bunting"s main love, though, was spending time and doing things with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mary Ellen Bunting; a son, Shawn Rickards and his wife, Caricia of Milford; four grandchildren, Matthew Rickards, Zachary Rickards, Harley Rickards and Kortni Rickards; a brother, Bruce Bunting and his wife, Barbara of Milford; a brother-in-law, Christopher Collins of Felton, Del.; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Deena and Bob Issi of Charleroi, Pa.; and his nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 5 p.m. Saturday in the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Ave., Milford, where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
