DOVER - Bruce R. Boehmer joined the ranks in God's army on March 10, 2016 after a courageous battle against multiple myeloma. Bruce worked at Kraft for 37 years retiring as regional sales manager for the east coast, where he was also a strong leader, mentor, and friend. He was also a beloved husband to Barbara, a caring father to his son, Ryan, and his stepson Michael Parkowski. He was a dear and loving brother to his sister, Robin Willey and both a devoted and loving father figure to his brothers Craig, Glenn, and Roy Boehmer. He loved each of their extended family members. He was also elated to be the PopPop to his two beautiful granddaughters, Kayla and Lizzie Parkowski. His kindness, support, and generosity were embraced by all those who had the fortune to know him. A gathering to celebrate Bruce's life will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming with a celebration of Mass at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St., Dover, on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 10 a.m. with burial following mass at Holy Cross cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851 or DE Hospice. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
