Bruce Lee Etcher, born October 24th, 1932, in East Jordan, Michigan passed away Tuesday, June 27th, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Etcher and Verna Etcher; wife Dorothy (Dottie) Etcher in 2006; one daughter, Karen Louise Etcher; two brothers, Lyle R. Etcher (wife Mickey) and Lawrence D. Etcher (wife Betty).
He is survived by son, Jeff B. Etcher (wife Cathy); stepdaughters, Roberta (Bobbie) Porter and Darlene Hannigan; grandchildren, Sharon, Katie, Natalie, Bruce, Jennifer and Tommy; great grandchildren, Brandy, Brittany, Casey, Tyler, Tanner, Olivia, Giulianna, Cash, Storm, and Brock; great great grandchildren, Kayden, Jace, Cali, Ryker, Koe, and Hudson; one sister, Karen L. Wellman (husband Chet). He is also survived by long time and close friends of many years, Cyrena Wyatt (her daughters Elana, Alyssa, and Maura), Jane Maroon, Amy Oxendine and Michelle Bell.
He served over twenty years in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1971. Served in the Korean war, in 1951, and 1952. Served also in Vietnam, 1968 1969.
Bruce was born in East Jordan, and at a young age moved to Boyne City and grew up on his fathers farm of forty acres. Bruce really loved the Northern Michigan's lifestyle. While still in the Army, Bruce was transferred from Germany to Dover air force base, assigned to the U.S. Army's Escort detachment.
After retirement from the Army, Bruce owned and operated B&D Photo for approximately ten years.
Funeral services will be held 12:00pm, Friday, July 14th, 2023, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware. Friends may visit one hour prior. The interment will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, Delaware.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
