JACKSONVILLE, N.C. - Bridget M. Butler of Jacksonville, formerly of Delaware, passed away Friday, March 2, 2007, in Onslow Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville. She was 86.
Mrs. Butler was born in Limerick, Ireland, Nov. 1, 1920.
She was a registered nurse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Butler.
She is survived by a son, William F. Butler of Damascus, Md.; two daughters, Margaret Butler and Maureen Cole, both of Jacksonville; her sister, Mary John Madden of Belmont, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Ann's Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to Mass.
Father David Kelley will be the celebrant.
Interment will be at Ocean View Presbyterian Cemetery, U.S. 26 and Cedar Neck Road, Ocean View.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, Clarksville.
