Brian Miller, 40

SMYRNA - Brian Miller of Smyrna passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover, surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was 40.

Brian was born in Riverhead, N.Y., on May 24, 1967, son of Rose Wilmire, but spent most of his childhood years in Camden.

He graduated in 1987 from Caesar Rodney High School.

Prior to his illness, he was employed at C.F. Schwartz as a new car manager of their Toyota division.

Brian was 18 years old when he began his career in the car business and worked for several Delaware dealers until he found his home with the C.F. Schwartz dealership.

He loved cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed motocross, golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

Brian will forever be missed by his family and friends, and he is survived by his wife of 16 years, Kris Miller; sons, Matthew and Nicholas Miller, that he referred to as his two angels; mother and stepfather, Rose and Tom Wilmire of Milford; brother, Keith Miller and his wife Cheryl of Magnolia; father and mother-in-law, Neal and Terri Carter of Dover; nieces, Brandie Miller of Camden and Emily Miller of Magnolia; and a sister-in-law, Kim Kilby and her husband Steve of Milton; and many other loving family members and supportive friends.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Delaware Hospice, Dr.'s Coll and Rubacky and their staff for their loving care and support for Brian.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation in celebration of Brian from 6-8 p.m. Monday, in Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna.

At Brian's request, the funeral and burial will be privately held.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to be made to Delaware Hospice Inc., 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
