DENTON, Md. - Brian C. Hildebrand of Denton died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake, Salisbury. He was 69. Prior to this, he resided at Caroline Nursing Home, Denton.

Born in Weston, W.Va., Mr. Hildebrand was the son of the late Golden C. Hildebrand and Wana G. Mathews.

He graduated from Woodstown High School, Bridgewater College, James Madison University and completed coursework at the University of New Mexico.

Mr. Hildebrand was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was the dean of enrollment at Bridgewater (Va.) College until his retirement in 2002.

He also served as pastor for many churches in the Bridgewater area.

He was preceded in death by one son, Donald B. Hildebrand, in 2001.

Mr. Hildebrand is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy S. Hildebrand of Denton; one son, Robert L. Hildebrand and his wife Virginia of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; two daughters, Kristi Forosisky and her husband John of Williamsburg, Va., and Julie A. Hildebrand of Elkton, Va.; one brother, Lloyd B. Hildebrand and his wife Peggy of Florida; one sister, Constance Dana of Elkins, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, Rachelle Daniel, Ashton Hildebrand, Frank Daniel, Matthew Daniel, Thomas Reeves, Megan Hildebrand, Robert Hildebrand Jr. and Nicholas Desgrey; and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Lois Schall of Denton.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Denton Church of the Brethren, where friends may call one hour prior.

The interment will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Denton Church of the Brethren, 106 S. Seventh St., Denton, MD 21629.

Arrangements are by Moore Funeral Home, Denton.
