Brenda Joyce Knight Williams, 53

Brenda Joyce Knight Williams of Dover fell into her final sleep in Christ Jesus on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at the Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 53.

Brenda was born on Jan. 14, 1954, in New York City to the union of the late Beulah Jessie Mae Bush-Knight and Charles Knight.

She received her early education in New York City and completed it in Delaware, where she also attended Delaware Technical & Community College.

Brenda received Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 16 under the pastoral leadership of her mother, the late Elder Beulah Jessie Mae Bush.

After the passing of Elder Bush in 1992, she joined The Glorious Church of God in Christ where she was ordained as an evangelist and served faithfully as a praise team leader and church secretary under the leadership of Pastor Helen E. Smith.

Cherishing her love and memory are her son, Johosohopot Miciaiah Williams II; her daughter Antoinette Monique Williams; and two granddaughters, Giana and Daijah Williams, all of Dover; her aunt, Bly Simmons of Bronx, N.Y.; her sister, Vivian Knight; her brother, Michael Knight; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.

Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division St., Dover.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Victory Church, Del. 8, Dover.

Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park, Dover.

Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
